My words are descriptive and match what I'm trying to describe.
1. My "Five Senses of Summer" essay required me to describe a season in Hawaii other than summer while using all five of my senses. I chose fall and was able to describe what I felt, saw, heard, tasted, and smelled during this season through vivid descriptions and imagery to help the reader picture the scenes I was writing about. I also used good storytelling to help the story flow well and maintain a strong lead. 2. My "Sensory Detail" assignment (worked on with a partner) helped describe my experience at the Made in Hawaii 2018 event in which I had to use vivid details to help the reader understand and picture what I went through + felt. I enjoyed using descriptive words as it also helped me relive the experience in my mind and brought back many happy memories with my friend. I made sure that what I mentioned matched the actual event, so there wouldn't be any misunderstandings.

My writing showcases my personality and clearly has a lot of thought put into it.
1. My "Querencia Final Draft" was a way for me to show people who I am and be able to pour my feelings into something I loved writing about. I showed that I truly cared what I was writing about and not just filling the paper with blank statements. This assignment was full of meaning and you could tell that this was an assignment that was clearly written by myself and showed my personality. 2. My "Words from the Heart Final Essay" was another assignment in which I could write about something I feel strongly about and show my personality to those who read it. I shared many of my personal experiences throughout the essay to help the reader better understand the ties between my special word and I. Working on this essay not only helped me find my voice, but made me learn about myself even more. Each person's word or phrase was different and we all had unique experiences and thoughts that we included that were special to us. |
