WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS FOR NEXT SEMESTER? WHY DO YOU THINK THEY ARE REALISTIC AND ATTAINABLE?12/18/2018 A few goals I have for next semester are making sure to turn my assignments in on time and managing my time in a healthier way. Though I usually turn in my assignments for these classes in on time, I occasionally get lazy and slack off when I should be trying my best to learn and get a good grade. These classes, or more specifically English, is not about percentages and points you get on assignments, but is focused more on how much effort you put into your work. I want to be able to manage my time better so I can produce quality work without getting too stressed out. I think this is attainable and realistic as there are various ways I can help myself stay on track such as writing in my planner, better communicating with my group members, and asking for help when needed.

A major challenge this year was having to turn in assignments by the deadline. I struggled with this a lot as I'm a huge procrastinator and though a majority of the time I was able to finish the work last minute, I got super stressed out and didn't feel at my best. My first media project in first quarter was a bit much for me to handle and though I enjoyed my group members company, they weren't there enough. However, it's partially my fault that they weren't always there as I never said much and constantly stated that I was doing fine when I clearly wasn't. During second quarter, I fortunately learned from my mistakes and though I still procrastinate a lot (I'm working on it), I make sure that for subjects like media and English I try my best and make sure to submit my assignments in on time while expressing myself if I need any help from group members.
I'm most proud of my "Querencia" and "Two Sides of Paradise" essays because I not only got good grades on them,, but learned a lot. My "Querencia" was one of the more difficult assignments I had this past semester as it required me to describe my special place and that took a while for me to figure out and when I finally did come up with an idea, it wasn't easy to distribute it. However, through this assignment I improved a lot in my word choice and using my voice to share my personal experiences and help the reader better understand my thoughts. As for my "Two Sides of Paradise" essay I was shocked with not only how much I wrote, but at the fact that it was very informative and actually sounded good. It wasn't easy to do the large amount of research I had to do beforehand, but when I finally finished I felt proud of producing such an informative and well-written essay.
